Traditionally, children’s lounge chairs are designed and approved for use until the first birthday. Bombol decided to make a lounger that lasts much, much longer. In order to be able to bear the weight of a larger child, the Bombol lounge chair does not have a folding frame at the base, but the base of the frame consists of one piece of solid aluminum. The backrest of the lounge chair made of 3D mesh fabric is easy to raise and lower when the baby is sleeping. For those two innovations, Bombol received two patents! In order to receive a certificate, a lounge chair must normally bear 9 kg of weight (that is the weight of an average one-year-old child). We wanted to create a lounger that would last longer, so Bombol can withstand 20,000 hits of 100 kilograms each. It may seem extreme, but we wanted to make sure that the Bamboo 3Dknit ™ Bouncer can comfortably support your child’s weight until they outgrow the lounger, or on average by the age of five. It is more useful for much, much longer.

Patented frame

The frame of the swing is made of high-quality aluminum (interestingly, such a material is normally used in the production of aircraft). The mechanical design of the frame ensures that Bamboo 3Dknit ™ gently sways even with the smallest of newborns, and can effortlessly support the weight of older children as they grow. Bamboo 3Dknit™ is the only lounger that passes safety tests for adult furniture.

Dynamic backrest

Traditional lounge chairs have 3 tilt positions with the fact that the sitting position is always at an angle of 90 °. The Dynamic Backrest™ of the Bamboo 3Dknit ™ lounger allows your child to take any position by simply shifting their weight and thus receive the appropriate support of the lounger, similar to ergonomic office chairs. When it’s time to sleep, you can recline the backrest to relax your baby’s tummy and sleep comfortably – all without moving or disturbing your baby.

Specially designed 3D weaving

Newborns do not have enough muscle strength to hold their head up on their own. Cots are often made of uniform, inelastic fabrics and in them newborns can be bent or pushed into the seat. Using 3D knitting technology, we designed a dynamic backrest (Dynamic Backrest™) that rocks and supports your child like a hanging swing for sleeping. The 3D knitting technology is fantastic because it allows the same fabric to be woven in different ways to achieve different mechanical properties in different areas: a softer, taut fabric in the center of the lounger and a firmer fabric where extra support is needed for your child. This means that the lounger provides perfect support wherever it is needed, but also that there are almost no seams under your baby’s body. Also, our fabric is breathable. Thanks to all of the above, the Bamboo 3Dknit ™ Bouncer is both stronger and more comfortable than traditional lounge chairs.

Antibacterial and antifungal material

During 3D knitting, we also used the most modern ALTOR® fabric, which is not coated, but which contains copper inside the thread, a material with antibacterial and antifungal properties. It can reduce bacterial colonies by more than 99% and prevent mold growth.
